Doctella's goal is to help create meaningful patient-doctor partnerships by using technology to enhance the interaction between patients and their doctors. Doctella develops a list of questions specifically tuned for different surgeries and procedures that patients can use to ask important questions from their doctor. By utilizing efficient time with their healthcare team, we believe that we can help patients get the most out of their procedure and decrease the risk of medical errors. Doctella also helps patients get organized at each step on their medical journey, and keep their loved ones in the loop about their care. As a more informed patient, users can help their doctors give them the best possible care, and be real partners on their road to recovery. Doctella is owned and operated by Patient Doctor Technologies, Inc. We are seeking the below positions, as our company is quickly expanding and requires more members to join our team! We are looking to hire the following positions, effective May 1st for training.

 

Content Manager

The Content Manager is responsible for maintaining, updating and supervising the creation of content for Doctella. This includes working with physicians, hospital administrators and patients on a regular basis, to ensure we provide the best tools for patients’ safety and care. We are seeking a healthcare professional who has an academic background in the sciences and public health. A competitive candidate has significant clinical knowledge and experience working with patients, and has experience leading a team in the field of healthcare. Candidates must also have competencies in Microsoft Office, Google forms, and strong communication and organization skills.

 

Implementation Coordinator

The Implementation Coordinator is responsible for working with physicians and hospital administrators to integrate Doctella into current health care practices. This requires the Implementation Coordinator to have a flexible work and travel schedule, as we currently have users across the country. We are seeking a healthcare professional with an academic background in the sciences and public health. A competitive candidate has extensive clinical experience working with patients and hospital staff, and has experience leading a team in the field of healthcare. Additionally, this position requires deploying and running clinical trials for Doctella, requiring previous experience with development of research protocols, obtaining approval from Institutional Review Boards, and implementation of study protocols.

Content Developers

A Content Developer is responsible for working with the Doctella content team to maintain and update existing content, as well as create new content for healthcare practices. This requires the Content Developer to have a flexible work schedule, as the amount of content needed in a given day or week can vary. We are seeking a candidate with at least an undergraduate degree with an interest in health care. A competitive candidate has clinical knowledge and experience working with patients and hospital staff.

 

Research Assistants

A Research Assistant will work as part of the Doctella team under the Implementation Coordinator to carry out clinical research for health care practices using Doctella. This requires the Research Assistant to have a flexible work schedule, as the amount of subject in a given day or week can vary. We are seeking a candidate with an undergraduate degree related to health care. A competitive candidate has experience working with patients and hospital staff, as well as clinical research experience. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have experience with survey administration and obtaining consent.

Senior User Experience Researcher (Contract)

Doctella is looking for a Senior User Experience (UX) researcher to plan and deliver studies that bring the voice of the customer to life. You will design and execute usability studies and other user research, utilizing your broad knowledge of user experience and methodological expertise. Your goal will be to drive research, develop deeper understandings of our customers, and deliver findings that can translate insights into action. Ideally, you will have an HCI or related degree, a passion for customer knowledge, and a strong drive to understand and support our customers, individually and socially.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute studies, including lab-based usability analyses, user personas, field studies, usability inspections (cognitive walk-through, heuristic reviews) and other user research.

  • Work with Product Managers, and key stakeholders to develop a research approach, schedule, and detailed test plan.

  • Synthesize findings to inform a better understanding of our customers, give insight into business value, and identify potential usability issues and design opportunities.

  • Present design solutions to the team.

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree + HCI – Human Computer Interaction degree or related experience preferred

  • 3+ years of hands on experience conducting user experience research.

  • Healthcare industry experience preferred

  • Experience managing and coordinating user research resources and tools.

  • Familiarity with a variety of research methodologies including usability testing, contextual inquiries, focus groups, surveys, unmoderated and remote studies, diary studies, etc.

  • Ideal candidates will also have experience with customer-facing web sites, mobile, and tablet.

  • Experience with remote testing and lean research methods is a plus.

  • Experience with wireframe and prototyping tools is a plus.

  • Work samples, portfolios, and project case studies are appreciated.
